Alon Ohar
Alon was born in 2008 and grew up in the community village of Nes Ammim in northern Israel.
In 2020, he began his dance training at Reut School of the Arts in the Dance Department, under the direction of Racheli Shapira, and at the Center for Excellence in Dance, directed by Michal Bardes Hasson.
He participated in the Janet Ordman Scholarship Competition and the America-Israel Cultural Foundation scholarship program, and attended courses and workshops with the Kibbutz Contemporary Dance Company and the Batsheva Dance Company.
Alon was recognized as an Outstanding Dancer by the Israel Defense Forces and joined Kamea Dance Company as a JR Dancer in August 2026.
“For me, Kamea is a home and a framework where my passion for dance can truly grow and deepen, and a place where I can express myself as an artist. The company’s unique movement language inspires me and gives my dancing a sense of power and virtuosity, made possible by a supportive, challenging, and highly talented environment. Beyond my professional development as a dancer, I am proud to be part of the company and believe that its work and vision make a significant contribution to Israeli culture and to the country as a whole.”
