2025-6 Announced: a new season packed with creativity, performances and inspiring projects

After the summer break, we returned to work in the studio in preparation for the 25-26 performance season, which is full of creativity, passionate performances and extensive social and community activity.

This season, a peak of 14 creations (!) are planned to be performed on Kamea’s repertoire in dozens of performances:

The evening “Godani and Foniadakis” presenting virtuosic works by 2 of the world’s most respected choreographers: Omniforge by Jacopo Godani (Italy) and Kosmos by Andonis Foniadakis (Greece) will be performed at the Israeli Opera House on the prestigious dance series of the Herzliya Performing Arts Center and in a nationwide tour.

Ginz’s great successes continue to inspire audiences: our hit “Carmina Burana 2.0” returns to the Opera House and will also be performed at the Beer Sheva Performing Arts Center and at Haifa Auditorium. The masterpiece Matthaus Passion 2727” will be performed exclusively in September at the Herzliya Performing Arts Center.

In November, Ginz’s iconic work “Bamidbar Devarim” (Desert of Things) will return to the stage at the request of the audience. The ritualistic choreography to the mesmerizing original musical score of Avi Belleli, transforming the stage to a wild fantasy inspired by the physical and human landscape of the desert.

In December, a repertory evening will premiere in the Kamea Hall featuring 2 works: the entertaining duet “Cherry Pink” by Itzik Galili and the main piece being a poignant and relevant premiere by Ginz “Gray“.

After a 3-year wait, finally this seasons’ main event will be a new full evening by Ginz, world premiere on February 2026. The soundtrack combines original music by the talented artist Gil Nemet (who composed the music for “White Face”) which conducts a dialogue with heavenly sounds from classical music.

Kamea encourages Israeli creators alongside the international channel: on October 25 the company’s dancers will present their creation “Hope/Despair“, in which they are given freedom of personal artistic expression.

We will close the season in May – June 26 with an evening of a new Israeli creation with works by Oren Lazovsky and Liran Michaeli who have presented works for our creative laboratory in the past.

As our educational department grows, we will continue to tour as part of the “cultural basket for high schools” and expose students to the art of dance with the youth shows “Gleech” and “Dance, Dance, Dance” and perform the 3D ring arena show “Kumzitz” for the whole family.

We continue to nurture the “Kamea in the Community Project” to exposes dance students in the Negev to excellence in dance. The project is supported by the Beer Sheva Municipality and “Adama Makhteshim” invites 120 participants to workshops, performances and lectures free of charge throughout the year.

Our dance community “Mid-Bar” is expanding with 11 weekly classes in a variety of styles under the guidance of dancers and the artistic team. Alongside special events, it is a center of attraction for adult dancers who express their love of dance in an atmosphere of patience and tolerance.

Next summer, we continue to hold an international summer course that brings together dozens of talented students from all over the country. We lead repertoire workshops at dance schools to deepen the company’s language and staging of pieces. We are honored to host student groups for seminars at the company’s home, the largest dance house in Israel.

Kamea, with a cast of 28 talented dancers from Israel, Italy, Great Britain, Venezuela, Brazil and South Korea continues to fulfill dreams, breathe hope and create with love. Looking forward to an exciting season!
