KAMEA HUB – GROWING from HOME

By Liran Micheli, Oren Lazovski
Double bill of local fresh creations
An evening featuring two works: "KuNtz" by Liran Michaeli and "Masa" Oren Lazovski, Beer-Sheva based choreographers, who continue to develop their creative voices within Kamea. Commissioned by Artistic Director Tamir Ginz, this production is part of KAMEA HUB - the company's creative lab dedicated to fostering new Israeli creation.

Choreographer Liran Michaeli, born in the city of Be'er Sheva, is an independent creator who has thrived in Israeli progressive folk dance companies and is highly esteemed amongst Israeli dance creators.  In his previous works with Kamea Dance Company, "Berta" (2016), "Zuka" (2021) and "DrEk" (2024), he has developed a personal and intriguing movement language, in which the extensive knowledge of folklore dances fusions with the passion for contemporary dance with great talent. Liran has collaborated on independent works with video and music artist Gil Nemet, as well as with choreographer Eyal Dadon, a graduate of Kamea.

Oren Lazovski, a dancer, choreographer, musician, and dance instructor, has worked with numerous dance companies in Europe and has created choreography for projects and operas in Germany. Oren returned to Israel after 15 years in Berlin and joined Kamea as a rehearsal director 3 years ago. Oren presented his first work in Israel, "Happy End", at Kamea HUB in 2024
