WILD AWAKE by Tamir Ginz is starting its national tour and performances internationally

Now when it seems so hard for everyone, everywhere… we invite you to daydream with us, in a surreal escapism adventure to the realms of optimism and hope for happiness for one hour… Ginz latest work brings the audience to tears of joy as he builds a journey of beautiful moments.

The critic – blogger Yuval Erel wrote:

In the daytime, a dream of dance…

We landed in the main hall of Suzanne Dellal to witness and experience the dance show “Wild awake” created by Tamir Ginz with the Kamea Dance Company from Be’er Sheva, the piece was premiered in a celebration of 20 years of Kamea Dance Company.

In front of a full hall and a few moments after 20:30 in the evening, precisely in Israel, the dance performance “Wild awake” opened, 14 male and female dancers participated without one gram of excess fat. All of them have tense muscles and upright bodies that swayed their bodies sometimes at impossible angles and led the audience for a little over an hour on a surreal journey of stories full of mist and implied by movement and body gestures – tension, love, romance, action, all on a musical platform that led and created the atmosphere which is accurate to the happenings of the movement on the stage. Music written by one of the old wizards of dance music and in his spare time also a long-time rocker – Avi Balleli, lead singer of the Tractor Revenge band alongside excerpts from the works of Debussy, Claire de Luna, Canciones de Amor, Guadalupe Pineda, Carlos Alta Almeran. This magical atmosphere was wrapped in precise light that also included some sophisticated stunts of light and shadow lighting by Shay Yehudai. The show opened with a sort of symbolic ceremony of lighting candles on the birthday cake that came to mark the fact that Kamea is celebrating 20 years of activity since it was founded.

In general, I don’t have a great understanding of the world of modern artistic dance, but what I saw and experienced led me to admire both the physical abilities of the dancers and the presentation and the visual direction… Thank you for the magical evening which was very special.
